VANCOUVER, Canada — Piotr Sobocinski, an Academy Award-nominated cinematographer from Poland, died while working on the film “24 Hours,” in British Columbia, the film production company said Tuesday. He was 43.
Sobocinski apparently died in his sleep, said LeeAnne Muldoon of TFH Productions Inc. His body was found Monday.
Local authorities were planning an autopsy.
The film, starring Courtney Love, Charlize Theron and Kevin Bacon, was a week into shooting when Sobocinski died.
